- Receiving Grading Permit Application Submittals.
- Reviewing Grading Plans.
- Engineer Conferences.
- Receiving Stormwater Variance Appeal Application Submittals.
- Receiving and reviewing As-Built Certification Submittals.

The MWS Stormwater Engineering Department also maintains a staffed office with the Codes Department (in the same building) which is responsible for:
- Answering general questions related to Stormwater permits/requirements.
- Receiving Elevation Certificates.
- Conducting “grading signoffs” for Building Permit issuances.
- Answering floodplain-related inquiries.
