Percy Warner Park is home to the only public horse trails in Davidson County. Bring your own horse to explore the ten miles of wooded hills and hollows. Enjoy a picnic lunch at one of the two picnic areas accessible by horseback. Park at the equestrian center trailhead, 2500 Old Hickory Blvd. The Equestrian Center and horse trails are open from dawn to dusk, seven days a week.

Important Trailriding Information:

  • Trailriding is permitted on the bridle paths only.
  • All bridle paths are located in Percy Warner Park.
  • Trailriders should enter and exit the bridle path system from the Equestrian Center at 2500 Old Hickory Blvd.
  • Trailriding is strictly prohibited on hiking trails, the steeplechase track and infield, and over any jumps and fences.
  • All horses on park premises must have proof of a negative test for Equine Infectious Anemia (Coggins Test).
  • Trailriders must leave park premises in good condition. Littering and cleaning out trailers on park property is prohibited.
  • Trailriding hours are from sunrise until dark. Use of bridle paths may be restricted on certain days when organized events are scheduled.
  • Trailriders use the bridle paths at their own risk.
  • Organized trailrides of 10 or more riders required a permit, which may be obtained through the Park Headquarters Office. Organized trailrides do not have exclusive use of the bridle paths.

Fee Schedule for Trailriding:

Individual and spontaneous use: Free

Organized trailrides: 10 to 25 horses - $25.00

Organized trailrides: 26 to 75 horses - $50.00

Organized trailrides: 76 + horses - $100.00
