Mayor Dean's press release

houseMayor Dean, in an effort to connect Nashville residents with housing industry professionals, has created the Mayor’s Housing Fair and Open House so that residents can consider homeownership and other housing options in Nashville.

In August 2008, the Housing Fair attracted nearly 500 families. Each family was able to meet with realtors, home builders, banks, mortgage lenders, financial counselors, and nonprofits and they were also eligible to win a number of door prizes.

Building on this success, with the help of our major partners, including Greater Nashville Area Realtors (GNAR), National Association of Realtors, Nashville Area Habitat for Humanity, Metropolitan Housing and Development & Housing Agency, Tennessee Housing Development Agency, the Housing Fund, and The Tennessean, this year’s Mayor’s Housing Fair promises to be even better.
