Bellevue Community Plan (Subarea 6)

houses_pondsPlanning Commission approves landuse policy change to protect area near Nine Mile Hill

The Commission took action on July 27, 2007, to preserve the terrain and natural beauty of a 2100-acre area of mostly wooded hillsides in West Meade and Bellevue.

Commissioners unanimously approved applying Natural Conservation land use policy to a tract south of I-40, west of Jocelyn Hollow Road, north of Highway 70 South, and east of Old Hickory Boulevard.

That policy  restricts  excessive grading, cutting, and filling, preserves major ridgelines and viewsheds, and  promotes residential design and development which fits into the surrounding environment.

Bellevue Community Plan: 2003 Update Now Available
