Antioch/Priest Lake Community Plan (Subarea 13)

Cherokee Park public meetings continue in July

Planners held a "visioning session" with community members June 19 to hear community concerns and gather residents' thoughts on how the Cherokee Park neighborhood might change and improve.  Traffic, noise, property maintenance, and a lack of sidewalks were some of the concerns expressed in that discussion' another meeting is scheduled for  6 pm Thursday, July 17 at Meades Chapel Church of Christ, 1251 Antioch Pike .

The Metropolitan Planning Commission adopted the current Antioch/Priest Lake Community Plan on July 10, 2003, and amended it in January and May, 2004.  Both amendments are included on this page.

The Antioch/Priest Lake Community also has two Urban Design Overlays, additional zoning which sets design standards for specific areas.

What is a UDO?

Ridgeview and Hamilton Hills UDOs.

The Structure Plan maps in the Community Plan follow land-use policies in set forth in the current policy document, the Land Use Policy Application (LUPA). A new document, the Community Character Manual, is being prepared to replace the LUPA, and it's currently available for public review and comment.
