rural hill mapRural Hill/Moss Road community meeting scheduled Dec. 3

Planners will present a new draft of a proposed Detailed Neighborhood Design Plan for the Rural Hill-Moss Road community at a public meeting December 3, beginning at 6:30 pm at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 601 Bell Road. This is a follow-up to a series of meetings held in late 2008 and early 2009 to develop that plan; the new draft will be posted here before the meeting.

Leslie MeehanPlanner achieves AICP certification

Community planner Cindy Wood have earned what the American Planning Association calls "a high mark of distinction" in the planning profession - acceptance into the American Institute of Certified Planners. AICP certification is awarded to planners who pass a rigorous examination covering the history and theory of planning, urban design, law, ethics, and quantitative methods.

The Planning Commission's Rules and Procedures Subcommittee is currently reviewing the Commission's rules and meeting procedures.

The Subcommittee, which includes Commissioners Stewart Clifton, Judy Cummings, and Hunter Gee, welcomes both general and specific suggestions about the Commission's rules, what actions and topics should be part of the Commission meetings, and how those meetings should be conducted.

Comments, suggestions, and other public input can be submitted electronically or mailed to the Planning Commission office at 800 Second Avenue South, PO Box 196300, Nashville, TN 37219. No cutoff date has been set, but submissions should be made as soon as possible.
