Public meetings on Northeast Corridor Mobility Study start Nov. 9

corridor mapThe Nashville Area Metropolitan Planning Organization, a regional planning group which studies transportation issues in Davidson and nine other Middle Tennessee counties, will hold five public meetings in November to discuss transportation improvements and possible future development along the Nashville-Gallatin corridor.

Those meetings will be held in Hendersonville, Gallatin, Madison, Goodlettsville and East Nashville.

commission meetingPlanning Commission asks for public comment on Commission rules and procedures

The Planning Commission's Rules and Procedures Subcommittee is currently reviewing the Commission's rules and meeting procedures.

The Subcommittee, which includes Commissioners Stewart Clifton, Judy Cummings, and Hunter Gee, welcomes both general and specific suggestions about the Commission's rules, what actions and topics should be part of the Commission meetings, and how those meetings should be conducted.

Comments, suggestions, and other public input can be submitted electronically or mailed to the Planning Commission office at 800 Second Avenue South, PO Box 196300, Nashville, TN 37219. No cutoff date has been set, but submissions should be made as soon as possible.

The Downtown Code and related amendments to the Downtown Plan are scheduled for consideration by the Planning Commission on November 12, and by the Metropolitan Council on January 5, 2010.
