Bells BendPublic hearing July 24 on Scottsboro/Bells Bend plan

The Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on the Scottsboro/Bells Bend Detailed Design Plan as part of its regular meeting on July 24.  The meeting begins at 4 pm, and the hearing at 6 - details are on our Bordeaux/Whites Creek community page

12South MeetingFinal draft of 12th Avenue South plan is now online

The plan is based on community input from several months of public meetings; it addresses neighborhood character and development along 12th South from Wedgwood Avenue to I-440.  The Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on the plan during the July 24 regular meeting.

CCM Manual

Commissioners will discuss new land-use policy document at work session July 28

The “Community Character Manual,” currently in draft form, will eventually update and replace the Land Use Policy Application, which outlines land-use policy for Nashville and Davidson County.

The Planning Commission will hold a work session to review and discuss the Manual from 2:30 - 4:30 pm Monday, July 28, in the Nashville Room at the Metro Office Building, 800 Second Avenue South.

The manual and a comment form are on the CCM webpage. We welcome public comment on the draft; the public comment period ends July 9.

Antioch MapCherokee Park public meetings continue in July

Planners met with community members June 19 to address community concerns about traffic and industrial zoning in the Cherokee Park neighborhood near I-24 and Haywood Lane.  A summary of that discussion is on our Antioch/Priest Lake community page.
