The Council meets monthly, and individual committees hold meetings as necessary.
Our Mission

What We Do
Citywide Youth Talent Show. The Mayor’s Youth Council hosts an annual citywide talent show that promotes the diverse talents of young people in a safe and drug-free environment.
Mayor’s Youth Summit. In partnership with several other youth organizations, the MYC plans and organizes an annual summit that brings together youth from across the city. At the Summit, youth address key issues that impact their lives, strengthen their leadership and citizenship skills, and feel empowered to make positive changes in their communities.
Youth Voice. The Mayor’s Youth Council is often called upon to provide youth perspectives at various conferences and events. So far, Youth Speaks, the National Youth Learning Service Conference, and MBA have called upon the Youth Council for support and endorsement.
