ORDINANCE NO. BL2010-622

An ordinance amending Chapter 16.08 of the Metropolitan Code to require that notice be sent to the district councilmember upon the filing of a permit for the erection of a temporary structure.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That Section 16.08.012 of the Metropolitan Code is hereby amended by amending subsection U. by adding the following sentence at the end of the revised Section 3103 of the 2006 Edition of the International Building Code:

“Prior to the issuance of a permit for the erection of a temporary structure, the department of codes administration shall provide the district councilmember for the district where the temporary structure is to be erected notice of the filing of the application, and shall allow the district councilmember three business days to submit written comments regarding possible community issues or concerns associated with the application.”

Section 2. That this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
