FIRST MAYOR’S NIGHT OUT TO BE HELD IN JOELTON
Event scheduled for next Tuesday
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (January 23, 2008) -
Mayor Karl Dean will host his first Mayor’s Night Out at Joelton Elementary at 6:45 p.m. next Tuesday evening.
Joelton residents will have an opportunity to meet one-on-one with Mayor Dean and discuss any issues or concerns specific to their community. Councilman Lonnell Matthews from District 1 and Councilman Walter Hunt from District 3 will also be present, along with representatives from various Metro departments.
“While we’re focused and working hard on issues like public education and public safety that affect all of Nashville, it’s important that I and other leaders in Metro Government take time to help individual residents on issues affecting them in their community,” Mayor Dean said.
“We want to make sure Metro Government is responsive and accessible to every citizen, and we should never lose sight of the importance of the quality of life of every person in Nashville.”
