Join the Nashville Symphony and a host of other Nashville performers for fireworks at Riverfront Park downtown on July 4th. Festivities begin at noon. Fireworks start at 9:25 p.m.
Parents and community members are invited to discuss existing programs and policies for students receiving special education services through Metro Nashville Public Schools. The forum will be held at East Literature High School on July 14 at 6 p.m.
The 40-member task force charged with identifying ways to reduce the number of school dropouts has presented its recommendations. In response, Mayor Dean announced his office will coordinate afterschool programs for middle school students.
Mayor Karl Dean has formed a Green Ribbon Committee on Environmental Sustainability. The committee is seeking your input on environmental practices in Nashville through an online survey.
