Metro's historic Courthouse is currently undergoing a comprehensive renovation and restoration. When completed, it will feature a new below-ground parking facility and Public Square on the site of the existing surface parking lot. The parking structure will have spaces for approximately 1,200 vehicles. The Public Square will incorporate green space at street level, featuring new trees, shrubs, water elements, quiet garden spaces, and expanses of lawn.

The link below will launch a set of slides that contain architectural renderings of different views of the new Public Square and parking facility. The courthouse renovation project has been underway since the fall of 2003 and the demolition phase of the Public Square and Parking facility project is planned to begin in late February, 2004.

NEW!	From high atop the Stahlman Building and Parkway Towers, observe the progress of the Historic Courthouse renovation as well as the demolition and construction of the new underground parking facility in front of the Historic Courthouse. Views of the Beverly Briley Building construction and CJC renovations. These two vantage points offer great views of the exterior restoration of the Courthouse.
