Funding Public Education
Supporting public education is the most important thing Metro Nashville Government does. This support is an investment in the future of the Nashville community, and the Metro Nashville Government has made investing in the operations and facilities of public education a top priority.
Some of the evidence of that effort for the fiscal year 2006 (July 2005 – June 2006) includes:
- $542.3 million Operational funding provided by Metro Government to Metro Nashville Public Schools
- + 6.2% Change in operational funding from FY2005
- + 38.6% Change in operational funding from FY2000
