This web site gives citizens access to performance information for the Metro Government of Nashville and Davidson County. Several features are available to help you find information that is interesting to you.

General Information about the Metro Performance Report

In 2007 Metro Nashville Government released its first performance report in 30 years.  The Metro Performance Report compiles performance information from departments across the Metro government and provides information for citizens.  General information about the Metro Performance Report is available on the main page through the following options:

Performance Information by Nashville’s Priorities

The Metro Performance Report is divided into sections according to the priorities of the city of Nashville.  The priorities of Nashville are as follows:

  • Funding Public Schools
  • Assuring Public Safety
  • Ensuring a Quality of Life that Promotes Better Neighborhoods
  • Effective and Efficient Government
  • Valuing Our Employees

Each of the priorities above include performance information from several departments within Metro and can be accessed via the main page.

The Metro Performance Report is presented in PDF format. Click on the link to the Metro Performance Report, which is available on the main page, to download the PDF file of the report as well as an appendix that lists the strategic goals for each department. 

Department Level Information

To access performance information about a specific department, use the drop-down list that appears on the left-hand side of the main page. Information about both the operating budget and performance information is available.

Glossary

If you encounter a word in the performance report that is not familiar to you, check the glossary. Most of the key words are defined here. If you do not find the word in the glossary, send an e-mail to OMB@nashville.gov. The Office of Management and Budget will get back with you as soon as possible.

As the process of producing a performance report continues, more information will be available. If you have a question related to performance and cannot find your answer on the web site, send an e-mail to OMB@nashville.gov. or directly to the department about which you have a question.   In addition, the Metro Nashville Government welcomes suggestions for improvements.
