Want to Become a DES Customer?

BUILDING OWNERS, MANAGERS AND DEVELOPERS:
If you are putting up a new building, renovating your existing building or just replacing your heating and/or cooling system, why not consider becoming a DES customer for your heating and cooling needs? The benefits can be dramatic and the savings significant.

If your building or site is near the DES distribution system in downtown, SoBro or even Rolling Mill Hill, the DES can serve you. (Click here to see the map of the distribution system and current customer locations.)

Join the over 40 downtown buildings that are served by the Metro Nashville DES, occupied by 30,000 office workers and hotel guests, and visited by innumerable sports fans, tourists and conventioneers. Buildings as diverse as the Tennessee Statehouse, Ryman Auditorium, Titans’ stadium, Predators’ arena, Renaissance Hotel, TPAC, Metro offices, Hume Fogg High School and the new Viridian residential tower are currently being served efficiently and reliably by the DES. At this time, Metro has over 3,500 tons of cooling and 27,500 pounds per hour of heating available to sell to new customers.

The benefits of joining the DES include capital and operating cost savings, freeing up interior space and eliminating the need for unsightly cooling towers and onsite mechanical equipment. DES rates are set so that you can achieve an overall 10% savings over the alternative cost of self-heating and/or self-cooling your building. Click here to learn more about the benefits of DES.
