Current DES Customers

Currently, 40 downtown buildings, occupied by 30,000 office workers and hotel guests, are served by the Metro Nashville DES. About 30 percent of the energy generated by the facility is contracted to State of Tennessee buildings, including the state Capitol; 20 percent is contracted to Metro government buildings, such as the Historic Courthouse and Convention Center; and the remaining 50 percent to privately owned buildings, including office buildings, three hotels, a church, and the historic Ryman Auditorium. At this time, Metro has 3,732 tons of cooling and 27,518 pounds per hour of heating available to sell to new customers.

Newest DES Customers
The Metro Public Library, Schermerhorn Symphony Center, and the Viridian Tower are the three most recent new customers. DES is proud to be part of these exciting projects and looks forward to provide new customers with the best possible service.
